Transforming Healthcare: Epic's Journey and Mission

In January 2017, sparked by a glaring issue—lengthy wait times for primary care and limited healthcare access. Michelle, the visionary founder, realized this health problem was widespread among friends and family.
The revelation that many lacked healthcare insurance, faced unaffordable cash pay amounts, and experienced brief, unsatisfactory visits ignited a passion for change. In response, Michelle pursued a nurse practitioner degree, aiming to increase her scope of practice and address the need for shorter wait times and alternative payment options.
Enter the Direct Primary Care model—pay-per-month access to healthcare, covering urgent and chronic care, discounted labs, testing services, vaccinations, and even house calls. Michelle's goal was simple yet profound: to close the gap for those facing disparities in healthcare access. Thus, Epic Healthcare and Wellness Solutions was born.
Our commitment to transforming healthcare extends beyond the traditional office setting. We accept insurance, offer house calls to those housebound or seeking healthcare outside conventional settings, and prioritize patient comfort. The philosophy is clear: make healthcare more accessible, bridging gaps, and providing options that resonate with the diverse needs of the community.
Michelle envisions Epic Healthcare as a primary care provider changing the trajectory of healthcare delivery. The focus is not only on offering additional healthcare options but also on decreasing, if not eliminating, healthcare disparities altogether. The narrative is shifting towards a future where healthcare disparities are not expected but rather challenged.
